Alan completed a 4-year degree course (1989-1993) in Building Engineering Management before gaining diverse sector-wide experience in construction, including social housing, schools, leisure centres and health centres. Over a 30-year career, Alan has enjoyed various positions within the company and now, as construction manager, is responsible for the smooth running of multiple Co-op projects and overseeing their respective site managers throughout Scotland and the north of England. Having his entire focus on one client allows Alan to offer Co-op tailored services, concentrating solely on their unique requirements. Alan attributes much of his strong work ethic, tenacity and drive to the original training provided by this family business at the very start of his career. He believes that Dickie & Moore’s personal service, willingness to confront issues head on, and inherent attitude of continual improvement company wide, set them apart.
