Health & Safety Comes First
Dickie & Moore maintain a positive safety culture through our core beliefs and attitudes, which have been carefully nurtured to eliminate the root causes and indicators of poor safety performance.

Our philosophy permeates the entire organisation via our Health, Safety & Environmental management systems, where every staff member and supply chain contractor is actively encouraged to embrace their legal and moral responsibilities to take reasonable care of themselves and others. This necessitates observable commitment and clear leadership by senior management and project management personnel. Placing safety at the forefront of our agenda establishes a recognised ethos.  In our organisation any meeting started without a ‘safety first’ agenda is considered abnormal.

The essential components of Dickie & Moore’s approach to Health & Safety management and performance are:

  • an open door policy
  • a no blame culture
  • an inclusive and collaborative attitude
  • clear and open channels of communication
  • robust and effective operating procedures
  • efficient supervision, monitoring and review processes

Keeping Mental Health in Mind

Dickie & Moore care about the welfare and wellbeing of our staff and supply chain partners. In addition to robust health & safety processes, we are also active supporters of Mates in Mind – a construction-specific mental health charity. We have several mental health first-aid-trained members of staff, and are proud to participate in a number of mental health awareness events to help support our workforce, the wider construction industry, and our local communities.
