Here at Dickie and Moore, we are always looking to evolve and develop into new sectors and share our expertise.
We were thrilled to be selected to refurbish two Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories at University Hospital Hairmyres, East Kilbride.
A catheterization laboratory, commonly referred to as a Cath lab, is an examination room in a hospital with diagnostic imaging equipment used to visualise the inside of the heart. These rooms are essential in treating patients with cardiac-related issues.
Our teams were involved with an internal strip out of all ventilation ducting, ceilings and temporary protection of equipment.
To facilitate the new upgraded ventilation system, structural steel alterations and roof penetrations were undertaken out of hours. Roof alterations and upgrading the walkways were also completed to allow to new a new AHU to be installed.
Each new Cath lab was refreshed internally as well with new ceilings and a general decoration in line with Hospital requirements.
Our teams also worked strategically during the pandemic to ensure all safety measures were enforced and that one Cath Lab could remain fully operational at all times.
