A CIMA-qualified accountant, Karen oversees the finances of all three companies within the Dickie & Moore Group. Together with her team of four, Karen spends her day scrutinising and reporting figures to ensure that members of the board always have a clear, up to the minute overview of the company’s financial status. This helps to ensure that projects are completed not only on time, but also within budget. As well as budgeting and forecasting, Karen is also responsible for the installation and on-going development of the company’s internal financial software system. This system allows the team to assess what they are doing well and to highlight areas for potential improvement. Karen is motivated by the fact that Dickie & Moore are constantly looking to find ways of doing things more efficiently and cost effectively, for the benefit of both the company and their clients.
