Lidl Extension & Refurb, Thurso

Dickie & Moore Construction were appointed to carry out the extension and refurbishment of existing this Lidl supermarket in Thurso on the far north coast of the Scottish mainland.

The works comprised new foundations, steel frame and roof alterations, insitu concrete floor slab, masonry works, composite panel roofing, Alucobond cladding, render, curtain walling and entrance pod, full new M&E installations, floor screeding and vibro tiling, suspended ceilings, internal render, decoration and new store fit out.

Externally, a new car park was constructed with access roads, HGV access, loading ramp, disabled and P&C parking, pedestrian access routes established, glazed trolley bay and new specification totem signage. The site boundaries were landscaped with turf and shrubs, boundaries established with paladin fencing and knee rails. Off-site highways works were also carried out to form the new access / egress points to and from the site and to improve the general appearance around the site boundaries.
