Co-op Flood prevention

Dickie & Moore were appointed to stabilize both the existing structures and the eroding banks of the Moulin Burn. A detailed flood prevention design was implemented featuring concrete retaining walls and stone gabion baskets to prevent further erosion and to ensure control of the watercourse. There was an additional challenge of retaining the water flow to the mill wheel down stream. Further works included a full car park resurfacing and landscaping scheme.

The store was able to trade throughout the project.
