  • Completion of Lidl, Robroyston

Dickie & Moore Construction were employed by Lidl GB to carry out fit-out works at Units 2&3 Wallace Well Retail Park, Robroyston, Glasgow, G33 1AD in line with the requirements of the 2018.3 specifications.

 

Works commenced on 24th August and PC was achieved 3rd December line with the agreed programme.

The unit was formerly a B&M Store.

D&M works involved the installation of new underground drainage, installed to provide drainage pop-ups for Lidl’s bakery and warehouse (no sales floor drainage). Partitioning works involved construction of non-fire rated and fire-rated partition walls, up to 9.5m in height to separate the sales floor and warehouse. Existing walls were lined up to 4.2m in some areas and new partitions formed the back of house rooms.

A full new M&E installation followed in line with the specification, including new refrigeration by Carrier / AHT and CCTV, fire alarm and intruder.

A new adhesive tiled floor was installed throughout using the specification 300×300 Flakes tiles. OWA suspended ceilings were installed to the sales floor at 4m and back of house rooms at specification heights. Specification door sets were installed with new Geze auto doors installed at the new entrance.

Externally, a new canopy was installed above the new trolley bay, with the existing store block frontage removed and pillars formed to house new shopfront glazing. The existing Kingspan wall panels were sprayed, with new fire exit doors and windows formed front and rear.
